Expressions of interest now open: Chairperson for the Industry Stakeholder Group

This is a unique leadership opportunity for an influential, experienced person who is passionate about leading genuine transformational change for vocational education in Aotearoa.

The ISG was established as part of our Order in Council (OiC) and is an essential part of our governance eco-system, influencing and guiding the direction and performance of the Hanga-Aro-Rau Workforce Development Council.

As outlined in our OiC, the successful applicant will be independent of any specified industry in our coverage areas. They must also have demonstratable experience working at a governance board level and show a strong understanding and execution of Māori tikanga, principles, and reo.

Appointed for a two-year term, the Chairperson role has an estimated time commitment of five to ten days per year. This role will be compensated at a fixed annual rate, with reasonable travel costs also covered.

As the ISG is a national group, we encourage applicants from anywhere within Aotearoa.

This is an exciting and rare opportunity to help shape the future of Hanga-Aro-Rau.

Steps to apply for the ISG Chairperson:

  1. read the information pack
