Help us develop digital skills standards for manufacturing

Working alongside industry, the Industry Standards tīma at Hanga-Aro-Rau are creating digital skills standards for manufacturing. We know improving the capability and confidence of people in manufacturing is critical to enable investment in digital processes and industry 4.0 technologies to improve productivity.

This project builds on the successful Digital Skills for Manufacturing micro-credential (otherwise known as Skills Shift). It aims to equip front-line leaders and operational manufacturing staff with the skills and knowledge to be more confident in increasingly digital manufacturing environments.

The project group has included representatives from MAKE NZ, The Learning Wave, LMAC, Hanga-Aro-Rau, and Te Pūkenga.

The development process will extend a pilot programme undertaken by the project group and will look at the needs of industry to ensure any resulting qualification or micro-credential is fit for purpose. The development process requires a strong industry voice to ensure all products meet the current and future needs of the industries we serve.
